vancouver boudoir : miss L :

I’ve sat here, I swear for over an hour, trying to come up with the right words to describe this session…and I can’t. Miss L, was just so simply amazing and lovely and with so much energy. I can’t even start to write about it, thats how powerful it was.

She is beautiful in every way, from her smile, sultry eyes, flick of her hair, self confidence, and amazing smile. She is wanting to surprise her fiance with these photos, so if you know him, don’t spoil the surprise. Keep it locked up!

Thank you Miss L, thank you for allowing me to feature your photos, you are truly beautiful!
Meet, the beautiful and amazing Miss L:

boudoir : mrs e : part two

After Mrs e and I finished up at Derby Reach, we stopped in at Tracey Cakes to pick up some delish cupcakes, because she wanted to include her favourite thing next to her husband and daughter into her shoot, yes cupcakes! You’ll notice right away the difference in her as soon as she gets a cupcake in her hand, smiles all around!

Her and I share a luve of reading, so I mentioned that she should bring her favourite book to the shoot as well, and oh gosh I luuuve the images of her reading…just simply stunning!

Boudoir shoots are about you, what makes you smile, feel sexy, and comfortable and I encourage everyone to incorporate that into their time with me.

Once again, enjoy the images of Mrs e enjoying her cupcake and reading Anne of Green Gables!

Thank you again Mrs E for allowing me to use your photos!

boudoir : mrs e : part one

This boudoir / lifestyle session is going to be split into two parts because there are just so many fun images to share that I couldn’t just throw it into one. Mrs e came to me wanting to do a boudoir shoot just for herself and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have her in front of my camera. She came with so many ideas: first she wanted to shoot outdoors with a beautiful corset, wanted to make herself a headpiece, show off her dance moves, and also include a sari to showcase her husband’s heritage.

And that is exactly what we did. We trucked out to Derby Reach Park, dragging a suitcase, a chair and window, as well as some other props with us as we went. There was a crew there filming and we got the strangest looks them, finally someone stopped us “Excuse me….but you just came out of the woods carrying a window and a chair…”. We just kinda looked at them like it was a very average thing to do. Ha, it still makes me laugh!

I was so excited for her ideas and how she wanted to incorporate her
husband into it even though she was doing the shoot purely for herself.
Although, she did say she’ll share the results with him!

So, enjoy the images of us in a beautiful meadow!

Thank you mrs e for allowing me to post your photos, I had such a great time!

Vancouver Boudoir Photographer: Miss A

One hot surprise, that is what Miss A had in store for her husband for his birthday. Scheduling her boudoir shoot a month in advance I knew she was excited about her big surprise, but the day of the shoot I get a text from her saying that her husband was planning on coming home early that night! We scrambled for about 3 hours with both our minds and hearts racing trying to find a way to divert him elsewhere, coming up with stories and the such but in the end she succeeded by just having him hang out with his brother! We pulled off the shoot without him coming home and she was able to hold it a secret for 2 months!

These are some of my favorite boudoir photos to date, and what I love more about them is that they were taken a place that is dear to her and her husband, their first home.

Meet, Miss A!

Miss A, what a delight it was to photograph you, you are truly beautiful!

Vancouver Boudoir Photographer: Connor

Connor is gorgeous, like drop dead gorgeous! Not only is she gorgeous, but she is city girl country loving hick, who loves hunting and a great game of UFC, a tomboy who indulges in girly things like getting her nails done, and has an amazing body to top it all off.

This boudoir session we did just for her. Of course her boyfriend got to see the benefit of the session, but this was just for her, to show how beautiful and special she is!

We shot this just before the Olympics started and she wanted to incorporate some of the Olympic gear into her shoot. It is so her, and I loved the result!

I quietly
tip-toed my way over to the edge before it gave way to the horizon before me.
Carefully slinking down until my legs stretched out behind me and my stomach
touched the rough ground below me, I peered wide eyed over the edge of the
cliff. My knuckles were white as I clutched the sharp rocks, holding on for
dear life as my heart beat fast and hard against my chest.

Down below, I saw them raging and flowing gently together in a beautiful
juxtaposition, beckoning me to join the flow of their energy. My heart beat so
hard I could hardly think, drowning out any thought I had, but I was okay with
that. It was a time where I didn’t want to listen my head, because I knew if I
did, I would tip-toe back the same way I came with hardly a trace I was ever
there, and I knew I needed to listen to my heart!

They swirled together and separated in a beautiful dance of lovers and enemies
and I knew right then and there I wanted to be in the centre of it. Not wanting
to miss a second of their glorious performance my heart skipped a beat and my
body became covered with goose bumps as I leapt to my feet and threw myself
over the edge and flew into the air waiting for their dance to embrace me!

My dreams
and desires instantly found me and gathered me softly as we danced together in
a fluid rhythm that only my heart could know and I became exhilarated at all
the possibilities before me.

It has been
my desire to travel, to take photos around the world, and take portraits of
people while I’m there as well, and this year it’s happening! This week I leapt
towards my dreams and desires and am planning on travelling to a few different
cities this year to do boudoir shoots. Adam and I are also travelling to Australia in
the fall and I can’t wait to take pictures this beautiful country. This week
has been full of spontaneous decisions, but my heart feels at home and I can’t
wait to see what will happen!

I am a
travelling portrait photographer, no longer peering over the edge!

First stop,
Montreal!

Vancouver Boudoir Photographer: a little tease

Today is an awesome day! The sun is shinning, awesome music is playing from my speakers, and I have boudoir sessions coming up that I’m so excited about! We’ve been putting the final touches on the session, talking about accessories, lingerie, about how to keep it a secret, and about all the nerves and excitement it brings – it’s making me all giddy and bubbly!

Boudoir photography is something that I feel so honoured to photograph, it takes a lot of courage to be willing to do something as intimate as this, and I’m honoured and I take a lot of pride in each woman that chooses me to photograph something so important! Each one usually comes in shy and scared to come out of the bathroom in their first outfit, but after a couple of minutes of me rolling around acting silly while talking my head off, and of course some bubbly, they don’t even realize that the robe has come off and have found themselves totally comfortable in their own skin, owning and rocking their own sexiness!

I’m so excited for my upcoming sessions and wanted to show some teaser pictures! I love photos that allure…If you’ve been thinking of doing a boudoir session, or trying to figure out what to get the girl who has everything, send me an email I’d love to chat with you!
