When I started 750words, I thought it would be a place to encourage my writing or a place to write my to-do list. I had no idea that it would turn into something much more magical! Every day I’m excited to sit down and write to let my thoughts become unleashed and allow them to wander into places of my heart that I didn’t know were alive. Emotions and dreams have flooded into my consciousness that I had no idea where there before and I’m so excited because it’s changed me!
In the midst of writing I found what I truly desire and am passionate about. I should have known all along, because it’s appeared in my writing before but I just brushed it off, but now I can no longer ignore it.
2012 is bringing a new service that I’m really excited about! I’ll be hosting Boudoir Party Experiences once a month in different cities around Europe, the 2012 Boudoir Tour! The first one is in Amsterdam in January with information being released next week, but if you want to know what is going on before hand, sign up here!
But what I’m really excited about is the Private Boudoir sessions! These will take place in a gorgeous hotel or a beautifully designed home, but the exciting part is what happens before you even step into the room.
We’ll meet in person, or via skype if we’re unable to meet due to travel distances, to talk about want most out of your life; whether it be a more sensual life, steps to take to achieve dreams, getting that promotion at work, or finally owning that Birkin bag you’ve always wanted! I really want to work with you to ignite your dreams and passions!
I believe incorporating the two together is going to help bring you closer to your dreams and your boudoir session will feel more of a celebration for you! We’re going to meet numerous times before hand so that we can create a plan and keep you accountable to them, and then we’re going to celebrate your accomplishments as well, preferably over a glass of wine and some fine cheese!
These sessions will be for those who want to take action and live a passionate and sensual life, who want someone to encourage and support them along away, and celebrate with them too! More details will be coming soon, but I’m so excited to get started and working with you!
Mister and I just ended a fabulous time holidaying in Berlin and Munich where we saw a lot of history, partook in a great festival called Oktoberfest and toured two beautiful hilltop castles! Berlin has been one of those top places that I’ve always wanted to visit and to finally scratch it off my list feels amazing! I love seeing dreams come to life!
This weekend we spent time catching up on business, doing some laundry, while also spending the evenings talking about our passions, future, and dreams…I’m really excited to where where life takes us! But now I’m catching up on blogging and emails before we carry on with our traveling as he’s headed to Amsterdam for work and I’m headed to…Burgundy, FRANCE!
Yes, you read that correctly, Adley Studio is headed to France for an exclusive Boudoir Party in a beautiful Chateau in Burgundy. I’ve been keeping this under wraps for as long as I can but I can’t hold it in anymore! I can’t say much more than this, but my gosh I cannot wait to tour around the beautiful French country side and photograph some amazing and beautiful women!
I’m scheduling some blog posts while I’m away so it’s not so quiet here again, so keep checking in…or even better yet, sign up for the RSS feed through Google reader, it’s so much easier to stay on top of what is going on!
And since no post is complete without photos, the gorgeous Chateau that my lovely assistant and I get to enjoy and photograph!
As the rain falls down from the gray sky, I feel comforted knowing that this is home to me. Gray sky, rain, not seeing the sun for what feels like months, but might only be an hour. The rain drips from roof to window sill down to the cement below with a repetitive drumming sound. It’s soothing and slow.
I wrap myself in my favourite turquoise zippy and curl up with my laptop, ready to blog and write my thoughts away. But then, in the midst of the light dripping of rain, I stop. My thoughts are my thoughts, they are personal and a little selfish. I don’t want to be selfish, but someone who gives, encourages, and inspires. I know I say this a lot but it’s really true! I want to give to you, my beautiful readers!
So, instead of writing whatever I want to write about, please tell me…what do you come here for? What do you want to know about … me, Adley Studio, about where I find inspiration … tell me. I want to know. Perhaps, if all you come here for is photos, tell me that too. I won’t stop writing though…you’ll just have to put up with the writing in between the photos.

You’re in a constant state of reflection and self awareness when you own a business. Especially if your business is an extension of you, your dreams, ideals, and likes/dislikes. Back in January I started a list of 25 positive things that define me. It took me till earlier in 
May to finish it. I took my time (in between moving countries and setting up a new home) because I wanted it to be a true reflection of me. I was presently surprised what I came up with and knew I found the icing on the cake.
And I have to say, one thing it really helped me with was figuring out where to take this blog. I’ve tried many different types of posts (outside of featuring portraits) and I’m usually not very good at keeping a series of posts going. I get bored, I fall behind, or completely forget what I was talking about. But this list, it was like a light went on and I knew exactly what I would be excited to talk about.
Every Tuesday of the month I’ll feature a different mini series, in between showcasing upcoming sessions, and hopefully you’ll also join in on the comments and let me know what you think of each segment! It is the first of June tomorrow, and I can’t wait to get started!
The other day I was running around Den Bosch and found myself inside H&M. I really enjoy H&M for budget friendly trendy items that you know aren’t going to last very long in the fashion world. I gazed racks upon racks of clothes and at times felt really overwhelmed. Am I the only one who feels like it’s visual overload with all their clothes piled on-top of each other that you can’t even move a hanger? Anyway, I came across more then a few items that I thought would be perfect for a boudoir shoot!
I love when a girl shows up in matching bra and panties, but I love playing with actual pieces of clothing as well, sheer items, an oversize sweater, jeans and a t-shirt. Just cause it says Boudoir, doesn’t mean you have to be practically naked all the time.
So, here are some of the items that I loved at H&M!

In keeping up with Dressing for the Event, here is the next installment of who I’ve found in my search for pretty under things. Marie Jo | Haute Lingerie has caught my eye, on more than one occasion. Mostly cause of their eye catching ad campaigns, but also because of their beautiful and to die for lingerie.
I’ve spent some time going through their products, one thing that I have to say that I love about Marie Jo, is the fact that they have Lingerie Styling! Seriously, how awesome is that?! If you’re thinking about picking up some pieces for your Boudoir Shoot, I highly suggest making an appointment for their Lingerie Styling as they will find the best pieces that suit your body type!

Dear Beautiful Reader,
The other day I was thinking about you, of your beautiful face illuminated by the blue screen of your computer, perhaps with a cup of coffee beside you, soaking in the words that I continue to write. I thought about how you continue to come back, sometimes lurking, sometimes leaving a comment when you feel it is most appropriate, and I can’t thank you for each time you continue to click on my blog.
We have been through a lot, you and I, and not once have you told me to “Suck it up Princess” when I’m having a rough day, or “Stop tooting your own horn” when I have a celebratory moment, you have continued to support and cheer me on despite all my rambling. You are truly my hero!

Zoe, over at Pretty Zoo, was my first ‘friend’ that I had when I moved to the Netherlands. Although she lives in Frankfurt, I was thrilled with the idea that there was someone to talk to who lived in the same time zone as me, so we chatted on Twitter and then skype and eventually emails back and forth.
Yesterday she featured me on one of her Bite Sized Interviews. I loved answering her questions cause they were quite random, but they totally made me laugh. If you’d like to find out a little bit more about me: Check it out!
I simply love it when an album arrives on my doorstep that one of my previous boudoir friends has ordered, a little black book for them to keep for themselves, or to give to their loved one. We’ve spent time going over the design and choosing the photos, that it feels like a mini celebration when I can finally hand it over!
This particular album is a black leatherette, 30 x 30 (12″x12″), it lays flat, thick pages, and has a wonderful simple layout. Just the way I like it, as it’s the best way to showcase your boudoir photos!

I sat in a cafe, flipping through the latest fashion magazine to pass time, to gain some inspiration. Flip, ‘ohh!’. Flip, ‘hmm not my style’. Flip, ‘ohhh I like her shoes!’. Flip. I stop. Right in front of me is a part of my life that I want to see come true.
I sat there staring at it. I want this, sometime in my life, I want to see this come true. I quickly ripped it out of the magazine, knowing I could probably find the image online, but I needed to have it in my hands as if holding it was like owning it. I folded it and tucked it away in my purse. A few days later I found it laying at the bottom a little bit more wrinkled. I pulled it out and smiled. I want this, sometime in my life. I spread it out and showed Mister. I told him my dream, with our without the accessory of children but the blue bag was a must, I joked. He smiled at me and said we’ll make it come true.
Now it sits on my desk, as a daily reminder to me. Along with this torn magazine page I have a key on my keychain. It’s an old key from Paris. Another daily reminder to work towards my goals, to make my dreams come true. And I thought I should make an inspiration board of items and photos of things that I want to see come true in my life. And that you should too, start thinking about living your life passionately and what you want to see come from that. Look around and gather items and photos for inspiration and hang them somewhere. A daily reminder.
I’ve started mine!
I sat in a cafe, feeling inspired and ready. The time had come to concentrate on what I’m passionate about, and build upon that. I knew where I wanted to go, and I had an idea of how to get there, so I decided to just go for it. So here I am, ready, going for it!
I’m excited (like pumped up on sugar excited) to announce that Adley Studio is now a Boudoir Portraiture Boutique! I told you it was exciting!! I’m building a studio space that is comfortable, relaxing and luxurious, where I can concentrate on inspiring, encouraging, and uplifting women of all ages and sizes, and I felt the best way to purse this was to create a Boudoir only company. I’m so excited for this!
I’m also SO excited to tell you that I’ve launched a new website today to go along with the new direction of Adley Studio, go check it out!! I’m so thrilled with the results. I’ve worked with my friend and designer Morten from Pink & Yellow Media, and he’s done such a fantastic job taking my ideas and implementing them. I wanted a romantic yet rock & roll feel and it’s perfect. He also created the non-flash portfolio scroll, isn’t it awesome?! He’s fantastic at what he does. We also wanted everything to be streamlined, so the blog is now apart of the website! It rocks! Everything is designed in WordPress, so I can easily make changes, add more pages, easily upload photos, and pretty much change anything I want, but I won’t. Thank you Morten for the awesome and amazing design!
