Family Photography: Jennifer, Craig + Kurt

This family will always be imprinted in my memory as my first google family. Yes, meaning the first family that found me through a google search. When I received Jennifer’s email a couple of month’s ago asking about getting family portraits done I almost fell out of my chair.  Someone searched and found me?!  And she did, and out of the I don’t know how many people she contacted, she decided that I was the photographer for her and her family.  I was beyond happy…ecstatic was more like it.

Jennifer and Craig used to live in Vancouver, but now reside in Calgary.  They were coming to Vancouver for a mini vacation and decided to get some family photos done with their son and Craig’s mom.  Jennifer and Craig wanted a location that showcased Vancouver, but was also somewhere close to their heart so they chose Spanish Banks.  What a beautiful beach!  The Vancouver skyline in the back, sandy beach, and a park full of trees and running dogs.

This was Kurt’s first trip to the Pacific Ocean, so they gave him the chance to play in the water.

I had updated my About Me page and said I am a redhead (which I am) and that I think redheads are beautiful (and do), so after Jennifer had read that she sent me an email say that I was going to love them cause her and her son have red hair.  Did I ever!  But we all know that having red hair usually comes hand in hand with fair skin so they came prepared with a cute hat for Kurt as well as a umbrella for a pop of colour!  Love it when client’s do that.

This photo cracks me up, does it not look like they are on a safari together?
