Maternity: Kelly + Dan

I had the pleasure of photographing an amazing couple a few weeks back (I know, I’m behind on blogging again).  They contacted me after seeing photos that I had taken of Ariel, and wanted their own set of photos.  Kelly and I chatted on the phone for about 20 minutes and by the time I had hung up the phone we were scheduled for a shoot the next day!

Kelly had an array of outfits picked out, with jewelry and shoes to match - my kind of girl! Kelly + Dan are so in love with each other and cannot wait for their little one to arrive - so they can share this gift they’ve been given with everyone!

Bumps!  Something about this photo makes me smile!

I love it when people want to incorporate something significant into their session.  Because that’s what it’s all about: you!  We went walking around the dikes in Richmond and they said they’d like to sit on a bench further up the path.  Once we got there they told me that Dan lost his sister 13 years ago and had a bench built in her memory - I almost started crying!  What a sweet gift to giver their sister, a chance to meet their little one.
