Vancouver Maternity Photography: Michele + Jason

I don’t get the opportunity to meet my clients before we have a session together, makes it a fun adventure to find each other when scheduled date arrives.  What if the purple sweater I said I was going to wear ends up having a big ketchup stain on it?  Or the blue car that I say I will be in, is actually down the street and not anywhere where I said we would meet?  In the case with Michele + Jason, it was my blue car parked not anywhere near the parking lot.

Michele and I decided that we’d meet at Locarno Beach in Vancouver to start their session.  When we arrived there they said this is where they had their engagement photos taken there a few years ago, I like locations that have a special meaning to my clients!  The sun was about to go down we so walked around trying to find the perfect spot and the perfect light; and Michele + Jason were up for anything - including the cold water of the Pacific Ocean.

When we finished at the beach we headed over to Granville Island, where they spent a lot of time together when they first started dating.

This is my favorite image.  The industrial location juxtaposed with the sweet and innocence of pregnancy.
