Newborn Photography: Karen, Aaron + Baby Kate

I was introduced to this wonderful couple through Kelly + Dan and I feel so blessed that they contacted me to take photos of their beautiful baby girl Kate.  I met up Karen, Aaron + Kate a week and a bit before my wedding and as much as I was hoping to get their photos up before I left I couldn’t get them out fast enough.  Karen and Aaron have been waiting oh-so patiently for me to edit and post these photos, so Karen + Aaron, thank you for being so wonderfully patient with me.

I absolutely love it when my clients welcome me into their home and are so laid back that I feel like I’m an old friend dropping by; this is how I felt when I met these two.  We sat around talking about weddings, work, babies, and church before we even started taking a single photo.  They introduced me to Kate and I got to hold and swoon at her, which I have to say might be my most favorite part of taking photos. When I’m allowed to hold and cuddle a newborn; I feel it is quite the privilege.

Kate was just over 2 weeks old when I met her and I fell in love.  All her cute expressions and cuddly bits made me smile. Although it was one of those hot and humid days that we got in early June she was just so happy to be cuddled and held by her parents - especially her Dad.  Man oh man, he is already wrapped her tiny little fingers!  But isn’t that what dads are for?

Meet Karen, Aaron and the cute Kate:

Karen is a music school teacher in West Vancouver so she wanted to incorporate her piano into some of the shots.  And don’t worry, Karen and Aaron were just outside the frame to spot Kate just in case something happened.

A friend gave this fame to them…there is something about it that I find so sweet.

Aaron is a fire fighter with the Emergency Response Team at the Vancouver Airport - so of course we had to get some photos of Kate with his gear.

And all sorts of sweet cuddly pictures!
