Vancouver Newborn Photography: Kaley

A week and a bit after meeting up with Michele + Jason for their maternity session I received an email from them saying their gorgeous little girl had entered the world.  We quickly worked out a schedule so that we could capture Kaley in her itty bity stage of life

Michele + Jason’s home is so beautifully decorated that there were so many areas that I wanted to use for Kaley’s session, however, Kaley had an other idea in mind.  None of it.  She was fast asleep when I arrived, but the moment we tried to put her into a pose she wouldn’t have any of it.  We fed her, cooed at her, and rocked her, but it wasn’t until Jason took her to the ‘Man Room’ that she finally went into a deep sleep.  Jason was so proud of his little girl, “Daddy’s girl” is what he kept on calling her, and we all knew it was true.  Cause it wasn’t until he put his arcade game on with the high pitched tings and tangs that she fell fast asleep in his arms.  Jason was also excited, cause that meant he was able to continue playing his game for the rest of the session to make sure Kaley stayed asleep.

Jason has this arcade game in the ‘Man Room’, and since this is where Kaley felt most comfortable, this is where the majority of the photos ended up taking place.
