Oh fog!

I pulled myself into a ball and curled into the corner of the couch.  My head rested against the side of the pillow and I tugged at the blanket to make sure it covered ever single inch of me.  I don’t like to be cold.  I shook my head from side to side trying to shake the fog away but it was as thick as I have ever felt it.  A thick grey blanket of fog surrounded my mind and there was no way I could shed it free.

I mentally thought of taking scissors to try and tear it away, but nothing would pierce it.  It was a a rubber band that would not bend.  I sat there trying to think of every single metaphor to describe to you what kind of fog I’ve been feeling the past couple of days and I honestly can’t find a good one.

But, today, I feel like I can say that it’s lighter.  It’s still there and I’m still a little fuzzy but I can actually articulate a sentence!  You have no idea how long it took me to write my last post….hours!

Today’s weather (rainy, foggy, dark and grey) is pretty much what my mind has been looking like the past week, so I thought I’d put some pretty photos of up the fall colours!  I went to the beach with a couple of friends and even though it poured we found some pretty neat things to shoot, including a very lonely suitcase waiting to be found by the garbage can.

All of these photos were shot using one hand, one aperture, one ISO, and one focus point.  We didn’t want our cameras to get wet so our other hand was used to support our umbrellas to shelter our cameras.  It’s always fun to challenge yourself to see what you’ll get.
